Accounts Payable Specialist
Ledgent, a Roth Staffing Company, is recruiting on behalf of our client located in the South Sacramento area.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team. This is a full-time opportunity with a company that values its employees and fosters a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile financial reports with account balances and records.
- Facilitate vendor payments, including verifying federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment; identify discount opportunities; issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Record and verify documentation for petty cash distribution.
- Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
- Stay current with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Support accounting and organizational goals by completing related tasks as needed.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and software applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

Compensation:
$24 - $29/hr DOE
